Invitation To The Audience For Watching The Show: "STORIES WE TELL OURSELVES"

When asked about the reasons behind creating this event, the host of the event, FLUX said:

"STORIES WE TELL OURSELVES" is a dance theatre performance. It’s performed by the 9th batch of the X SENSE contemporary dance course Bangalore at FLUX.

X SENSE is an intensive professional contemporary dance training course with the focus on technique and choreography. The students train for 6 months before entering a production process. The production process is 3 months long and work towards process work and original narrative. The team for "STORIES WE TELL OURSELVES" includes dancers who started their X SENSE journey 9-10 months ago. Now, they will be finally on stage this April at FLUX. FLUX invites all contemporary dance lovers and dance theatre lovers to watch the show.

The production is directed by the founder Sahiba Singh, with assistant direction by Shyam Hemrom and Trish Bramha U.

The performance revolves around the idea of love and intimate relationships from the perspective of a child. The stories interweave nuanced and complex feelings of grief, confusion, seeking closure, anger, compassion, self inquiry, introspection, regret, shame and guilt. They also speak of a lot of things left unspoken, misunderstood and probably understood over time, if at all. It’s an immersive and intimate performance.

FLUX has limited seating. Therefore the performance is being staged for three days at Flux on March 31st, April 1st and April 2nd at 8 pm at 8:00 PM. The tickets can be booked on SkillBox here: https://bit.ly/dance-theatre
