Los Angeles, CA - March 24, 2025 - ReadyAidLA is proud to announce the receipt of a generous anonymous donation dedicated to assisting Los Angeles homeowners impacted by recent wildfires, including the Palisades Fire and the Eaton Canyon Fire. With debris removal timelines currently estimated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to take up to 18 months, this funding comes at a critical time for families eager to rebuild their homes and lives.
As wildfire recovery costs soar and construction tariffs loom, the cost of rebuilding may double in the coming months—leaving underinsured homeowners especially vulnerable. Many families affected by the Los Angeles wildfires either lack adequate debris removal coverage or have no such coverage at all, putting their recovery at risk before reconstruction can even begin.
“Time is not on the side of wildfire victims,” said a ReadyAidLA spokesperson. “Insurance policies often provide a limited window for Additional Living Expenses (ALE), which means delays in cleanup can directly translate into families running out of housing support before their homes are even rebuilt.”
This donation will directly support those impacted by the Eaton Fire, Palisades wildfire, and other recent Southern California wildfires, prioritizing residents with limited or no insurance coverage for debris removal. The goal is to accelerate cleanup efforts, reduce the financial burden on affected families, and help Angelenos return to their homes and communities as quickly as possible.
ReadyAidLA’s mission is to ensure families devastated by the LA fires can rebuild with dignity, safety, and the support they need.
