New Indoor Pickleball Miami Complex Opens July 2024
Dinko Pickleball Complex Miami is the brainchild of owners Isabel Alonso and Maria Claudia Sarmiento. The pair realized that Miami's local pickleball community needed additional indoor options for play and competition.

Dinko Pickleball Complex Miami and owners Isabel Alonso and Maria Claudia Sarmiento are pleased to announce the July opening of the four-court Indoor Pickleball Miami complex with a VIP lounge, a café, and much more. Dinko Complex offers many amenities, including a members' lounge, warm-up area, pro shop, live video on courts, and a cafe.

The idea for the facility began when the pair began playing and wearing matching shirts. It evolved into the realization that the local pickleball fans needed more indoor options for play during rainy days or when outdoor temperatures climbed. Pickleball comes alive at the complex, which features indoor courts for all skill levels. Users can enjoy coaching, tournaments, a vibrant community, and a café. The facility fosters connections among pickleball enthusiasts in a lively atmosphere.

The four-court, well-lit, air-conditioned complex at 6301 NE Fourth Ave. in Miami's Upper Eastside has pink and blue courts. It ensures that America's fastest-growing sport isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The facility will welcome players of all skill levels and provide a space for advanced competition, elite players, coaching, training, and equipment. Dinko Pickleball offers members 10% off clinics, Open Play, Pro Shop and Cafe.

Dinko Pickleball is a women-owned and founded company established in 2023. It serves the growing community of pickleball enthusiasts by offering access to quality play, competition and social connection. Dinko Pickleball built Dinko Complex as Miami's premier indoor pickleball facility and sponsors the Dinko Team. This professional and amateur team trains and competes nationally and internationally.

In the summer of 2023, co-founders Isabel Alonso and Maria Claudia Sarmiento played with friends in a local pickleball tournament. They knew the vibe was contagious and had potential for something big. By winter, Dinko was represented in an MLP Minor League tournament with 16 players and has since participated in major tournaments nationwide.

The complex will be home to The Dinko Team, an amateur and professional Pickleball team. Members include #5 ranked Judit Castillo; Top 10 ranked Pablo Tellez; Multi-Champion Brandon Lane; USA Pickleball Nationals Golden Ticket winner Maria Sarmiento; as well as multi-medalists Juan Benitez, Ana Pollan, Reese Fernandez, and Eduardo Bilbao. Team tryouts will be held at the complex for athletes wanting to join the Dinko movement and improve at the competitive level.

"As one of the most vibrant and fastest growing pickleball communities in the country, we are excited to provide Miami with a much-needed option for a high-end, indoor pickleball experience. It began with a few of us wanting to play with matching t-shirts and quickly turned into an exciting movement to connect a community through a passion for the sport." said Alonso.

Pickleball is fun, social, and friendly. The rules are simple, and the game is easy for beginners to learn but can develop into a competitive, fast-paced sport. Pickleball was invented in 1965 on Bainbridge Island, a short ferry ride from Seattle, Washington. Three dads – Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum — whose kids were bored with their usual summertime activities — are credited for creating the game. Pickleball has evolved from original handmade equipment and simple rules into a popular sport throughout the US and Canada. The game is also growing internationally, with many European and Asian countries adding courts. Indoor courts make play more appealing in every climate zone and weather condition.
