-- On April 29, 2026, the 9th Digital China Summit (DCS) officially kicked off in Fuzhou. The summit, which lasts for two days (April 29–30), is centered on the theme “Accelerating Innovation-Driven Development of Digital Intelligence Technologies and Deepening the Building of A Digital China”. Taking place in the inaugural year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), it is viewed as a key indicator for the development of China’s digital economy over the next five years.
Compared to previous editions, the 9th DCS has set six new records, making it full of exciting highlights:
The Largest Scale. With over 50 parallel sessions and thematic exchanges, this year’s summit boasts the largest number of activities ever held. Additionally, 14 competition tracks and 33,000 participants in the Digital China Innovation Contest contribute to its expansive scale.
The Highest Corporate Participation. For the first time, private companies such as Huawei and Ant Group are the hosts of parallel sessions. More than 55% of the sessions are hosted by corporates, and over 65% of guest speakers are from the corporate sector. Nearly 75% of the attendees are corporate representatives, while close to 80% of the exhibitors in the on-site experience area are enterprises.
The Most Achievements Unveiled. Over 100 authoritative achievements, including policies, reports, standards, and technical solutions, are unveiled at the summit. Both the quantity and significance of these releases set new records for the event.
The Most Dynamic Industry-Capital Matching Mechanism. For the first time, the summit features an industry-capital matchmaking session, accompanied by the innovative launch of the Industry Matchmaking Hub. It also introduces a four-tier opportunity list, spanning industrial, provincial, local, and cross-regional categories, with over 500 opportunities currently available.
The Richest International Participation. The summit hosts a series of exchange activities, including China-ASEAN Cooperation on Digital Transformation and Fujian-Hong Kong Cooperation on Digital Economy. It attracts diplomats from 7 ASEAN countries, representatives from 9 Portuguese-speaking nations through the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum Macao, as well as multinational companies like Siemens and Tesla (marking its first participation), who were invited to attend and exhibit.
The Most Engaging On-Site Interactive Experience. The on-site experience area features five main sections and three specialized zones, with over 400 exhibitors showcasing more than 100 interactive projects, including embodied intelligent robots and digital twins that integrate virtual and physical environments. The summit will also highlight the launch of cutting-edge technologies, products, and applications, with over 6,000 items on display and a first-time exhibition rate exceeding 65%. Outside the main venue, 65 digital application experience points were designed for observation and interaction. Moreover, there are 6 curated experience routes that allow attendees to immerse themselves in the dynamic fusion of “Artificial Intelligence +” and “Data Elements ×”.
The on-site experience area at this year’s summit will be open from April 28 to May 4 at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center, offering a wealth of digital surprises waiting to be discovered! Additionally, the summit features 65 digital application experience points and 6 curated experience routes, guiding attendees on an immersive journey through Digital Fuzhou.
