Direct Components Named Tampa Bay Business Journal's 3rd Fastest Growing Company For 2022

Electronic component provider, Direct Components, has been listed as the third fastest growing company for 2022. The Tampa Bay Business Journal revealed the ranking order of this year's Fast 50 on Thursday, recognizing the fastest-growing companies in the Tampa Bay area.

Direct Components was found amongst a strong Fast 50 this year, with the three-year revenue growth ranging from over 84% to 2,727%. This was aided in part by a strong economic recovery in 2021 and a continually growing startup culture in Tampa Bay. Additionally, this year saw 29 of the 50 companies making their first appearance on the List. Out of all of those companies, Direct Components saw 881.36% Revenue growth from 2019-2021, landing them third on the overall list.

Founded in 1998, Direct Components has built an online search tool that users can access to find over 50 million obsolete and hard-to-find electrical components. Using the part number or name of the part, users can have the online catalog return results of a very wide range of components. Aside from listing all those components, Direct Components also keeps up-to-date info on the availability of  Integrated Circuits, Semiconductors, Memory, Microprocessors, Transistors, Diodes, Connectors, Capacitors, Resistors, Relays, LEDs, and more from their partners.

Aside from providing access to a helpful online tool that is helping people find the components that they need, as well to get a quote for them and to start processing the purchase of them as soon as they are able, Direct Components has been growing thanks to a recent office expansion to over 18,000sq feet as well as changes in how the site has been branding itself. New branding, from visuals to copy, has seen the website change in 2022, in large part changing it to fit their “Purpose in Motion” business motto. As such, they have also grown to partner with manufacturers such as Analog Devices, Altera, Dallas/Maxim, Linear Tech, Intel, Samsung, Cypress, Fairchild Semiconductor, Hitachi, Infineon, Vishay, Motorola, On Semiconductor, Freescale, National Semiconductor, Xilinx and Texas Instruments.
