AtriaPRM won the final of the third season of Generation H, an accelerator run by SET University and Tokarev Foundation, which took place in Kyiv on 10 September. The team behind the startup, which automates doctors’ work with medical documentation, received a €15,000 grant. A separate €5,000 grant went to Enhance Your Ability, a platform supporting children with special needs, following an audience vote. The results were announced by Serhiy Tokarev, an investor and founder of Tokarev Foundation.
Generation H Winners and Their Healthcare Solutions
AtriaPRM structures diagnostic reports, consultation notes and test results, partially automating patient communication, care coordination and clinical processes. Meanwhile, Enhance Your Ability brings together educational content, alternative communication tools and support for therapists, parents and schools working with children with special needs.
According to Yevheniia Klepa, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at SET University, healthtech in Ukraine is no longer an experiment. It has become an established industry with its own leaders. She emphasises that the accelerator was created specifically to identify such founders.
In addition to the winners, three other startups reached the final:
- OBRIY combines a licensed clinic, a unified patient medical record, AI-powered triage and telemedicine.
- PRM helps patients perform exercises prescribed by physiotherapists.
- TomoPulse analyses chest tomosynthesis data for diagnostic purposes.
The Role of Generation H in Ukraine’s Healthtech Ecosystem
The Ukrainian accelerator was launched in 2024. Since then, more than 30 startups and over 60 mentors and lecturers have participated in the programme. Alumni have taken part in EIT Jumpstarter, IT Arena, TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200 and Google for Startups, raising more than UAH 11 million in investment.
The accelerator’s third season lasted ten weeks and, for the first time, welcomed teams from outside Ukraine. It was implemented as part of the EUNITED Digital Hub, co-funded by the EU. The mentors included Eric Henry (King & Spalding), Volodymyr Nerubenko (TerraLab, Lab24), Fergus O’Dea (FIRE1, Keimon Medical) and Alexa Sinyachova (Moeco, Techstars).
According to Serhiy Tokarev, although his foundation works with technology projects across various industries, he considers healthtech a particularly important field because it concerns human health.
“I have encountered many promising products, but healthtech has always stood apart. Success in this field is measured not only by a company’s performance, the number of users or potential revenue, but also by a person being able to walk again, a family being given another chance, or a doctor managing to save someone’s life. This is the central idea behind Generation H: to help more and more successful medical startups emerge in Ukraine,” says Serhiy Tokarev, founder of Tokarev Foundation.
The development of healthtech is closely linked to the growing role of artificial intelligence. AI is already performing various tasks involving medical image analysis and the automation of data processing. In the future, it will be used increasingly widely and integrated into processes such as developing new medicines, diagnostics and DNA sequencing. AI has the potential to significantly shorten the journey from an idea to practical application.
