John Shegerian, Chairman and CEO of ERI, the nation’s leading material resource recovery, ITAD, mobility and data destruction/processing provider and largest recycler of electronics, participated in keynote panel discussion on how best to execute and scale circular economy success for electronic devices last week at the U.S.–EU Circular Economy Forum, which took place at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel.
The discussion was emceed by Manuel Carmona Yebra, Deputy Head of Global Issues and Innovation & Counsellor for Environment and Oceans at the Delegation of the European Union to the United States. The panel featured experts Shegerian from ERI; Heidi Sanborn, Founder of the National Stewardship Action Council; Nina Helene Hilbard, Energy Team Leader, Denmark; Tammy McLeod, Flinn Foundation; and Wolfgang Cray of the Department of Environment for the State of Colorado.
The panel covered the role of the circular economy in electronics and other materials today and in the future. The panel also engaged in a spirited Q&A discussion with the audience.
