It brought together an extraordinary group of women across industries for an afternoon of connection, curated tastings of women-owned wines, and a discussion on inclusive leadership.
Founded in 2023, Merobebe was born out of the belief that wine is more than just a beverage-it's a way to bring people together, uplift others, and empower women. Initially launched as a weekly newsletter featuring wine facts and highlighting women in the wine industry, Merobebe has quickly expanded to offer live events where women can network, learn, and support one another.

The inaugural Wine, Women & Wisdom event took place in Beverly Hills, where attendees participated in small breakout sessions designed to encourage authentic relationship-building while savoring women-made wines handpicked by sommelier Sheila Donohue, founder of Vero. Among the wines poured was the Italy-inspired Dolcetto by winemaker Patti Mitchell herself, adding an extra layer of depth to the tasting experience.
The event also featured a powerful conversation on inclusive leadership led by Cathryn Dhanatya, PhD, CEO, and President of Growing Good Inc. Dr. Dhanatya emphasized the unique challenges women face in leadership positions, stating, "[Women] have to perform exponentially better at [their] jobs to get the same recognition and opportunities" as their male counterparts. The conversation sparked further discussion among the attendees on how women can collectively support each other in the workplace and beyond.
The inaugural Wine, Women & Wisdom event marks the beginning of Merobebe's exciting new chapter as the company looks to expand its footprint across the West Coast and nationwide.
