Brain Health Center, a St. George, Utah clinic that is one of only a handful in the country offering accelerated TMS therapy, treats depression in five days instead of the standard six to eight weeks and draws patients from around the world, and has been named the recipient of the Consumer Ratings Institute's Breakthrough Business award for St. George.

ST. GEORGE, UT - August 20, 2026 - At most clinics, transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy for depression takes six to eight weeks of daily visits. At Brain Health Center in St. George, patients complete the accelerated protocol in five days, a compressed treatment timeline offered by only a small number of clinics nationwide, and one that has drawn patients traveling from across the country and overseas. Research has shown that the results are better and they last longer from the five day TMS treatment.

During treatment, patients stay in a private day suite stocked with snacks, drinks, and streaming TV, and receive a cash gift card to cover lunch costs during their day. Many combine the visit with a trip to one of the three national parks near St. George. The center's clinical team, led by Clinical Director Luke Haws, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, also provides free psychiatric evaluations to help patients determine the right TMS treatments for them, and the center offers free TMS treatment to patients experiencing suicidal thoughts.

Brain Health Center treats depression, anxiety, and OCD in both adults and children age eight and older, at rates the center says fall well below the $10,000 to $35,000 typically charged for standard TMS treatment nationally. The clinic's work was previously featured in St. George News.

"We built this place because people shouldn't have to choose between getting better and getting on with their lives," said Rafael Capitan, Center Director at Brain Health Center. "Five days is something a person can actually take off work for, and that changes who's able to get help."

That mission-driven approach has earned Brain Health Center a 5.0-star overall rating from 119 reviews, along with the Consumer Ratings Institute's Breakthrough Business St. George award in the healthcare category.
