Heartland Soccer Kicks Off Fall Tournament Season this Weekend with Open Cup

Heartland Soccer, the largest youth soccer league and tournament host in the United States, kicks off their Fall tournament season this weekend, August 5-7 with the Heartland Open Cup. This tournament provides teams with the ideal opportunity to prepare for the start of their league games with a weekend of competitive games played on the world class turf fields at the GARMIN Olathe Soccer Complex in Olathe, Kansas.

The Heartland Open Cup will host thousands of Girls and Boys soccer players, ages U8-U18, featuring multiple levels of play to ensure that every team finds itself matched against similar competition.

“We are excited to once again host the Heartland Open Cup at the world class Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex. This event is a great opportunity for teams to get games in before the start of the fall soccer season,” explained Shane Hackett, Heartland Soccer Association executive director.

Considering the importance of local media to our sport, we encourage and invite the media to attend and cover the event. The first set of games will start at 5:30PM on Friday. Saturday and Sunday games will begin at approximately 8:00AM with the Championship award ceremonies starting after noon on Sunday.

Up next for Heartland Soccer is the Fall Kick Off Challenge being played August 19 – 21, followed by the Heartland Midwest Classic, Labor Day weekend. Interested teams can register at www.heartlandsoccer.net.
