Dialing Innovations Provides The Solution For Hotels & Motels To Become Compliant With Kari’s Law and Ray Baum’s Act
Outdated phone systems can cost owners $400 an hr. in fines. Regulators have put in place massive fines for hotel or motel owners that do not properly connect 911 calls from the rooms. No longer is it allowed to prohibit calls from the room and must also display the room number and hotel address. Those hotels that are caught not complying can face penalties of up to $400 per hr. until the issues are corrected.

Indianapolis, Indiana – May 24, 2022 – Dialing Innovations, the leader in next generation phone systems, is on a mission to help hotels and motels to become compliant with new regulations and not only save lives, but save thousands of dollars. Outdated systems cannot call 911 and deliver the room number nor the address causing the rooms to have to call the front desk. Several people have died as a result. This caused Regulators to put forth Kari’s Law and Ray Baum’s Act.

Compliance is mandatory and can be quite costly for those Hotels and Motels that violate these regulations. Dialing Innovations solutions makes hotels and motels compliant with its hardware and phone lines. Most hotels or motels save thousands in the process by changing to Dialing Innovations lines which only cost $10. Also, Dialing Innovations provides free support, eliminating support contracts.

For a limited time, Hotels and Motels can replace their old phone system and get a free technologically advanced phone system that is Kari’s Law and Ray Baum’s Act compliant by converting to a Dialing Innovations phone system.

A new telephone system by Dialing Innovations provides:

  • Calling Queues (ACD)
  • Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
  • Unlimited extensions
  • Conference Bridge
  • Fax to eMail
  • Ring Groups
  • Music on Hold
  • Calendar with third-party integration
  • Voicemail Blasting
  • Find Me / Follow Me Calling
  • Wake Up Calls
  • Support for Video Calling
  • Secure Communications (SRTP/TLS)
  • Announcements
  • Text to Speech

In August 2019, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted rules to strengthen emergency calls. The newest requirement is the second part of RAY BAUM’S Act, which applies to multi-line telephone systems (MLTS). That means the laws apply to every business with two or more phone lines as part of their phone system.

Last year, requirements to convey a dispatchable location to the 911 call centers took effect for devices located at fixed positions on the business premises. Its purpose is to ensure that the public safety answering point (PSAP) automatically receives the caller’s location and can dispatch responders faster — which is critical for campus environments and multi-story buildings.

These regulations are quite cumbersome and Dialing Innovations can make the process hassle-free.
