Catskills Crossroads Blues Camp to Celebrate the Root of American Music
A monumental celebration of a singular American art form—inviting you to shake, rattle, and roll for three days and nights alongside legendary masters at a powerhouse blues retreat in the pristine Catskill Mountains.

BIG INDIAN, N.Y. - Music Masters Collective has announced the inaugural Catskills Crossroads Blues Camp, a celebration of the music at the root of all American art forms. The event is scheduled for Aug. 11–14, 2026, at Full Moon Resort in the Catskill Mountains, located 30 minutes from Woodstock and 2.5 hours from New York City.

The four-day interactive music retreat removes the traditional boundary between artists and audience, pairing amateur, intermediate, and aspiring musicians directly with a faculty of legendary blues artists, touring pros, and master instructors.

Interactive Workshops and Round-the-Clock Jam Sessions

Rather than watching from a distant festival stage, camp attendees will participate in daily instructional workshops, panel discussions, and structured masterclasses alongside the artists. The curriculum spans multiple styles, including acoustic Delta traditions, modern electric blues, and classic rhythm and blues.

The event features specialized jam rooms equipped with full backline gear and supported by professional rhythm sections to accommodate players from beginner to advanced levels. The daily schedule also includes open mics, song circles around campfires, and nightly collaborative performance showcases. Non-musicians and blues enthusiasts are also welcome to attend.

World-Class Roster of Blues Masters

The instructional lineup features harmonica icon Charlie Musselwhite, multi-Grammy winner Bobby Rush, guitarists Eric Gales and Duke Robillard, New Orleans pianist Jon Cleary, roots musician Luther Dickinson, and vocalists Ruthie Foster and Jontavious Willis.

The learning experience and jam sessions are supported by a veteran rhythm section and specialized faculty, including keyboardist Bruce Katz, the southern soul-blues band Southern Avenue, and noted players Marco Giovino, Andy Hess, Joel Harrison, Robin the Hammer, Kyle Esposito, and Eric Parker.

Resort Amenities and Lodging Options

The event takes place at Full Moon Resort, a 100-acre mountain facility featuring fields, forests, streams, and performance spaces such as the rustic Roadhouse and the Moondance Pavilion. All-inclusive registration packages include full access to the music curriculum, nightly performances, three daily meals, and on-site lodging.

Featured amenities at the resort include a year-round heated outdoor pool and hot tub, on-site electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, and complimentary 24/7 snacks, coffees, and teas available in the facility's café.

Accommodations range from traditional tent camping and streamside glamping to private mountainside cottages. Indoor options include simple, bed-and-breakfast-style guest rooms with shared hallway baths, as well as premium studio cottages and deluxe rooms featuring private bathrooms, air conditioning, and panoramic views. All indoor accommodations are equipped with Wi-Fi and climate control. Commuter passes are also available for regional residents.

Registration

Registration, lodging packages, and complete event details are available on the official website. Passes and packages can also be purchased directly through the Tixr registration portal.

Scholarships

To ensure the event remains accessible to musicians of varying financial backgrounds, financial assistance scholarships are available through an application process, applicable toward several lodging tiers.

Information regarding the application process is available on the event’s dedicated scholarship page.
