The superintendent says healthy conversation also supports stronger educational outcomes.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ellington prioritized consistent communication with families while navigating school operations. The district also focused on maintaining in-person learning as early as possible.
The results were notable.
Ellington became the only school district in Connecticut to show overall growth in Grades 3-8 and SAT scores in both English language arts and mathematics compared with pre-pandemic levels.
