Bradley Angle is a holistic domestic violence agency with culturally specific programs for Black/African American and LGBTQ+ survivors. The GlamHy Awards is both a celebration of its accomplishments and supporters, and a fundraiser for survivors.

Portland, Oregon Aug 4, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Bradley Angle is hosting its first-ever GlamHy Awards, an event to raise funds for survivors of domestic violence and celebrate individuals and organizations that have supported this cause in the Greater Portland area. The honorees are outgoing Oregon Community Foundation President and CEO Max Williams, Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence Executive Director Vanessa Timmons, legendary entertainer Walter Cole AKA Darcelle XV, and Health Share of Oregon.

"Thank you so much for this honor. As a long-term supporter of intervention and prevention supports for Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence work, I am honored to represent Health Share at this event," said it's Chief Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Officer Phyusin Myint. "Domestic violence doesn't get its due attention, so we decided to create these awards to showcase the contributions that are being made in our community," added Bradley Angle's Development Director Marina Bhargava.

Bradley Angle invites the public to celebrate the honorees on Friday, August 26 at Castaway Portland. The early evening reception will feature the non-profit's accomplishments of the last fiscal year during which it provided 30,702 nights of safe and stable housing, silent auction, and networking with its leadership. An event is also a fundraising event for Bradley Angle which needs to raise about 25% of its budget from private sources. The cost of admission includes entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, and beer and wine. Details about the event and how to buy tickets can be found on this webpage: 2022 GlamHy Awards

About Bradley Angle
Bradley Angle's mission is to serve all people affected by domestic violence. We do this by placing people experiencing, or at risk of, domestic violence at the center of our services and providing them with safety, education, empowerment, healing, and hope. We opened our domestic violence shelter in 1975, becoming one of just a handful in the country and the first on the West Coast. We were the first to provide shelter and services to survivors of all gender identities or sexual orientations. We also offer a second culturally specific program for Black/African American survivors which was expanded to support children of these survivors by addressing intergenerational trauma and abuse.
