An embattled democratic Milwaukee district attorney called Waukesha suspect Darrell Brooks’ $1,000 bail in a prior domestic violence case "inappropriately low" but court records suggest that defendants are routinely sprung on small sums for serious felonies --including a suspected serial bank robber.
