WESTPORT - August 21st, 2018 - Greg Kraut, candidate for State Representative for 136th District (Westport), has received the endorsement of the Independent Party of Connecticut and will appear on the ballot in the November election on both the Republican and Independent party lines.
“I was honored to receive the cross-endorsement by the Independent Party last night in Danbury. We must rise above politics, and finally put our resident's needs first. The last eight years of failed one-sided fiscal policy is having a material impact on Westport, and it's, and it's now time for a balance and Independent reform,” Kraut stated.
“As Westport ’s next state representative, I will be an active independent reformer committed to finding solutions that are in the best interest of Westport, regardless of party. We have been increasingly exposed to the rhetoric of the fringe factions of either party and enough is enough,” Kraut stated.
Westport now faces severe challenges because of the failed one-sided economic policies and Westport residents are starting to feel the effect.
“We need a new balanced direction for our state, and I am determined to fight on behalf our town and work across party lines to ensure a bright, prosperous future for this generation of Westporters and the next,” Kraut stated.
This nomination is in addition to the official Republican line on November 6.
