Arkansas Information Consortium Voted Best Place to Work

For the second year in a row, Arkansas Information Consortium, LLC (AIC), the state's official provider of digital government services, was named one of the Best Places to Work in Arkansas in 2018. This annual program, now in its sixth year, was created by Arkansas Business and Best Companies Group.

The Best Places to Work in Arkansas survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in Arkansas that are benefitting the state's economy, workforce, and businesses. 40 companies were recognized this year, including the Information Network of Arkansas.

"We are incredibly pleased to be selected as one of the best places to work again this year," AIC General Manager Bob Sanders said. "One of our basic values is to be the best place our employees have ever worked. We take that seriously because we believe happy employees are motivated to produce high-quality work and to provide great customer service. Receiving this recognition demonstrates that commitment and encourages to continue our efforts at making AIC a great place to work."

AIC is better known to its Arkansas government partners as the Information Network of Arkansas (INA)—the Governor-appointed board that oversees AIC's contract with the state. Since AIC was awarded its first digital government services contract with the state in 1997, the Little Rock-based subsidiary of NIC Inc. has developed 850+ Arkansas government websites and payment processing applications, grown from 4 to 36 employees, and created dozens of new technology jobs in Arkansas.

Companies were required to meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for participation:

  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity
  • Be a publicly or privately held business
  • Have a facility in Arkansas
  • Have at least 15 permanent employees working in Arkansas
  • Be in business a minimum of one year.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Arkansas. The two surveys gather detailed data about each participating company. Best Companies Group (BCG) conducts the surveys, analyzes the data and determines the winners and rankings.

The overall winner and rankings will be revealed at a luncheon that will take place on Thursday, September 27 at 11:30 am at Embassy Suites, Little Rock.
