Volt Announces Formation of Strategic Solutions Group and Global Solutions Group, Hires Chris Kelly as SVP of Strategic Solutions

Volt Information Sciences, Inc. (NYSE-AMERICAN: VISI) today announced organizational changes that will strengthen its focus on sales and service delivery across its spectrum of offerings.

Chris Kelly has joined Volt as Senior Vice President, Strategic Solutions, Volt Workforce Solutions (VWS). In this role, Ms. Kelly will bring a greater focus to vendor-on-premise accounts, a growing segment within the staffing industry and one that represents a significant strategic opportunity for Volt. Enhanced attention on sales opportunities in the segment will allow Volt to capitalize on local and regional delivery strengths, building on the Company’s existing retail footprint.

“I am thrilled that Chris will be leading our Strategic Solutions Group,” said Linda Perneau, Interim President & CEO of Volt Information Sciences. “Chris’s track record in identifying and attracting top talent and delivering new business makes her a vital addition as we accelerate the growth of our vendor-on-premise business. She brings exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for driving profitable growth.”

“I am honored to join VWS at this pivotal time and look forward to delivering enhanced value to our clients as a premier solutions provider,” said Ms. Kelly. “The opportunity to further develop Volt’s strength as an industry leader is extremely exciting. Volt’s foundation in the retail market is the ideal springboard for expanding our footprint in the industry.”

Ms. Kelly brings over 25 years of industry experience at high-performance companies, including Apple One, Spherion, Randstad, and most recently, Nelson, where she was Vice President, Strategic Sales, responsible primarily for enterprise-wide sales efforts. Before joining Nelson, Ms. Kelly was National Sales Director for the West at Spherion/Randstad, where she utilized her expertise to deliver successful and customized solutions to each client.

Volt is also pleased to announce the formation of a new division, Volt Global Solutions. This division will continue its focus on the Company’s managed service provider (MSP) business and VMS delivery, but will expand its scope to include the European Consulting Group to better deliver global solutions to clients. This team will be led by Rhona Driggs, President, Volt Global Solutions.

Ms. Driggs has over 25 years of experience leading sales and operations in the staffing industry. Most recently, she served as President, Volt Consulting Group (VCG) US, where she was responsible for leading and building the managed service program business. Based on her significant career accomplishments, Ms. Driggs was honored in SIA’s Global Power 100 list of Women in Staffing for the past two consecutive years. Previously, she served as Executive Vice President of VWS North America, responsible for commercial operations. Ms. Driggs began her career at Volt as a Regional Manager, opening several new markets, including in her native Minneapolis, MN. Prior to joining Volt, Ms. Driggs worked for Kelly Services, where she led Kelly’s Western Region Partnered Staffing Sales Team.

Ms. Perneau commented, “I am delighted with the formation of both our Strategic Solutions Group and our Global Solutions Group – these developments renew our focus and broaden our reach. Under the leadership of both Chris and Rhona, I am confident both divisions will be powerful drivers of Volt’s swift growth.”
