MILWAUKEE - Sept. 14, 2016 - PRLog -- The Granville Business Improvement District will again rev up early fall in Milwaukee with its second annual Car, Truck & Bike Spectacular (#GranvilleCarShow), scheduled Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on north 76th Street.

Up to 300 cars, trucks, motorcycles and customized vehicles will be displayed, stretching along the thriving auto dealership corridor between Good Hope and Bradley roads. Participating dealers are Van Horn Latino, Hansen Brothers Auto Sales and Russ Darrow Chrysler. Registration and parking are at Russ Darrow Chrysler, 7676 N. 76th St.

Custom car icon Darryl Starbird will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs and take photos. Starbird is well known for his prolific career designing and building custom vehicles, and his National Hot Rod & Custom Car Hall of Fame Museum near Tulsa, Okla. Starbird will bring his classic "Li'l Coffin" custom to the show, plus his newest creation, a 1961 Ford Thunderbird named "The Starbird 2000."

Greater Milwaukee Auto Auction is Presenting Sponsor of the Milwaukee car show, which drew nearly 200 vehicles in its 2015 debut. Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Service and Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Park Place are additional sponsors. Admission is free to the public.

"After the tremendous success of last year's inaugural event, we're thrilled to offer a show that will feature even more unique and interesting vehicles," said Mary Hoehne, Executive Director of the Granville Business Improvement District and Granville Economic Development Corp. "This event celebrates that Granville is a thriving area in many respects, and has much to offer. We invite everyone to visit and experience a new area for themselves."

The event promises plenty of entertainment and family fun on a Sunday when the Green Bay Packers play a night game. Along with the extensive field of unique cars and bikes, the show will feature timely tunes from "Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio" by Captn' Bob & Arlo.

Food trucks and other food vendors will be on hand. Merchandise vendors will have plenty of items popular with car enthusiasts.

The display entry fee is $10 per vehicle. All proceeds will benefit Granville BID/Economic Development Corporation Youth Programs, which connect local students to Granville businesses via scholarships, mentoring and apprenticeships. The first 300 registrants will receive a goody bag.

Judges will award 60 trophies in a multitude of classes of cars, trucks and bikes. Awards begin at 2:30 p.m.

"We're tremendously excited about our second annual Car, Truck & Bike Spectacular, which will highlight the area's successful auto dealerships and, most importantly, reinforce that Granville is open for business," said Mark Krause, Chair of the Granville Business Improvement District Board of Directors and Granville Economic Development Corp. Board of Directors. "The BID has made great strides in creating a welcoming environment for business, as evidenced by the tens of thousands of people who work in Granville daily."

Created in February 2013 to spur economic development and revitalization of Milwaukee's far northwest side, the Granville Business Improvement District contains more than 300 businesses covering a broad swath of industrial, service and retail market segments. The district hosts thousands of employees every work day, and is home to the most concentrated base of industrial employment in Wisconsin.
