Abandoned flour plant holds a Pillsbury Doughboy origin mystery

Poppin' Fresh the Pillsbury Doughboy, one of America's best-known corporate mascots, was created by a Chicago ad man and a well-known animator in the mid-1960s. But the owner of a factory site once owned by Pillsbury says he's found sketches resembling the Doughboy that could be decades older.
