MOORESVILLE, N.C. - Nov. 14, 2022 - PRLog -- The Lake Norman Philharmonic is excited to return to the Charles Mack Citizen Center for its Annual Holiday Concert!

This year, the concert will feature some very special guests – students of the Piedmont Community Charter Middle School Chorus.  Directed and taught by Ms. Elizabeth Henderson, the Chorus hails from Piedmont Community Charter School in Gastonia, NC. Ms. Henderson has been teaching music and chorus to students since 2005 including teaching at international schools in China and Spain.  Her students will be performing several selections with the Orchestra, including Believe from The Polar Express.

Another special guest this year is soloist Joshua Adkins, Executive Director of the Gaston School of the Arts.  Mr. Adkins will be performing one of our holiday favorites, I'll Be Home for Christmas.  Besides his vocal talent, Joshua enjoys broad musical knowledge and experience, with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Appalachian State University, additional studies in Europe, and he has also served as Director of Music and as Worship Pastor at organizations in Gastonia.

The Orchestra will play holiday favorites such as Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and it wouldn't be the holidays without a seasonal favorite, Sleigh Ride, along with other popular holiday tunes to lift your spirits!

"This concert is a collaborative event that will showcase the local and regional talent that have worked very hard to bring the best of their holiday music to the community," Conductor Eduardo Cedeňo said.   "We're so excited to share the holiday spirit with our friends and their families."
