Dubai, UAE - April 26, 2022 - After months of effort and dedication, Harvard Business Council (NY, USA) has successfully concluded another cycle of International Awards for the first part of 2022. After assessing the 439 valid applications submitted of the 5000 received, 63 between organizations and individuals turned out to be winning.
Out of all the participants, Dubai Water & Electricity Authority (DEWA) stood out as their result scores were the highest of all other entities who entered the competition, thus becoming our top winner for this 2022 first cycle.
Khawla Al Mehairi, DEWA's Executive Vice President for Strategy & Government Communications, has been awarded a Diamond level in the Women Leaders Awards category. Her passion and commitment to her work led her to manage the corporate risk and resilience, partnerships, benchmarking, and stakeholders' happiness framework. Furthermore, under her supervision, in 2021, DEWA's female employees carried out around 13,300 hours of voluntary work in 40 social and humanitarian initiatives. These are just some of the remarkable achievements of Khawla Al Mehairi.
At an organizational level, DEWA has reached the Diamond level for the Business Agility Award, demonstrating that it has a flexible internal structure aimed at successfully dealing with crises and sudden changes; Business Society Contribution Award, having developed and implemented effective analysis tools to understand and improve the environment in which it operates; Business Partnership Award, to continuously monitor relations with its partners and guarantee a beneficial collaboration with them; and Business Communication Award, to assiduously commit to improving the way of communicating its messages to achieve stakeholder happiness and enhance DEWA's brand image.
Additionally, DEWA has been awarded the Gold level in the Business Resilience Award category, demonstrating that it prioritizes business resilience by establishing a dedicated department concerned with implementing winning strategies in the face of challenges.
Finally, DEWA was honored with a Special Recognition Medal for leading innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
