Grandmother Tests Vocabulary Skills During March Madness

By: PRLog

Popular TikTok Personality and Senior Influencer, Beverly Mahone, is challenging contestants to match their vocabulary skills in a Take the Money and Run March Madness competition.

RALEIGH, N.C. - March 22, 2022 - PRLog -- The NCAA College Basketball Tournament isn't the only contest being played during the month of March.  The WordUp! Vocabulary Challenge is sure to create some March Madness among contestants who will be vying for a grand prize of $250 on Saturday, March 26.

The Vocabulary Challenge made its debut on January 8.  It was developed by Popular TikTok personality Beverly Mahone of Durham, NC, who established the online game as a result of her successful vocabulary videos.  The part-time North Carolina Central University Writing Consultant and Senior Influencer has nearly 600K TikTok followers and 10 million video views.  She goes by the name of  "Auntie Bev" and presents daily words to help others build their vocabulary skills. She says, "I thought it would be fun to have a contest where people compete for a chance to add words to their vocabulary banks and win cash for their personal bank accounts."

Beverly says people from around the world have signed up to participate.  One competition involved a woman from Kenya.  During the upcoming competition, a man from Louisiana will compete against a woman from OH and another woman from NC for the chance to win the $250.  The Challenge will be live via Facebook at 1:00 pm on the 26th.

The unique aspect of the Challenge is the contestants get to decide what words they want their opponent to define from a list of words they are given by me," says Beverly.  The Vocabulary Challenge is being sponsored by American Advisors Group.
