State approves Vanderbilt's bid to build new $144 million hospital in Murfreesboro

The approval comes a little more than a year after Tennessee officials rejected VUMC’s bid to build a similar facility in Murfreesboro, which faced opposition from Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford, Williamson Medical Center and StoneCrest Medical Center.
