SUNY Poly projects get new oversight, three years after bid-rigging arrests

The state comptroller's authority to review construction contracts was rolled back by legislators in 2011 with the intention of allowing SUNY to award contracts under public-private partnerships more quickly. The 2016 arrest of Alain Kaloyeros and three developers prompted a call for the oversight to be restored.
