The landmark project sets a new benchmark for large-scale synthetic decking applications within the luxury marine and floating-residence sector.
Executed in collaboration with Flexiteek, the project represents a significant advancement in the use of premium synthetic teak on yacht-villa platforms. At 52 metres in length, Al Manara exceeds the scale of conventional superyacht decking projects, featuring expansive exterior deck areas more commonly associated with high-end waterfront real estate than traditional yachts.
Medasia Marine was responsible for the full Flexiteek deck installation of in excess of 720sqm across multiple exterior levels, including terraces, circulation areas, and leisure zones. The scale and complexity of the project required bespoke panel engineering, precise thermal-movement management, and carefully sequenced installation to achieve a seamless, uniform finish across a vast surface area.

Compared to natural teak, Flexiteek offers reduced maintenance requirements, enhanced UV resistance, dimensional stability, and long-term durability under high temperatures and intensive use.
In addition to its technical achievement, the project reflects a shared commitment to responsible material selection. Flexiteek operates an established environmental initiative through which a £5 contribution is made for every 10 square metres of decking installed, supporting global tree-planting and reforestation programs.
