D. Matthew Jameson III, shareholder
A seasoned attorney with over 30 years of experience, Jameson represents various parties in the construction industry in disputes and contract matters. He advocates for clients in numerous state and federal courts and before the American Arbitration Association. He is also frequently called upon to resolve construction disputes as a mediator or arbitrator. He earned his law degree from Rutgers Law school, cum laude, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Rutgers Law Journal and is a graduate of Penn State University. -
Kurt F. Fernsler, shareholder
Fernsler represents general contractors, subcontractors, and owners through all construction phases while advising clients on business, employment, and real estate matters inside and outside the courtroom. He serves as vice president of the Pennsylvania Builders Exchange, a nonprofit organization supporting the construction industry. Fernsler earned his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Penn State University. -
Richard W. Saxe Jr., shareholder
Saxe often serves as outside general counsel for his clients, representing business owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, developers, and other industry professionals in both litigation and day-to-day business matters. He earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law and a B.A. from Allegheny College. -
Daniel M. Maier, associate
Maier represents various parties in the construction industry through every project stage, handling contract negotiations, payment disputes, and lien claims while coordinating with firm attorneys to advise on broader business matters. He earned his law and dual undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and History from the University of Pittsburgh. -
Mary Beth Alexander, legal analyst
With more than 30 years of experience, Alexander supports attorneys in complex construction and commercial litigation. Her focus includes discovery, trial preparation, and e-discovery for arbitration and court matters. She earned her paralegal certification from Penn State Behrend and was among the first in the nation to pass the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam (PACE).
Justin Ventura has also joined our Pittsburgh team as manager of operations, helping establish the office and supporting the firm’s growing infrastructure.
They join Pittsburgh-based attorneys Jason T. Somma, shareholder within the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, senior counsel attorney David R. Chludzinski of the Trucking and Commercial Transportation Group, and senior counsel attorney Taylor R. Nicholas of the Senior Care Group in building the firm’s growing Western PA practice.

The firm has secured temporary space in downtown Pittsburgh as it finalizes plans for a permanent office in one of the city’s landmark buildings, to be announced in the coming weeks.
