Allshouse Recognized Among Future Leaders in Supply Chain

HealthTrust, a leading group purchasing organization (GPO) and performance improvement authority for healthcare, announced that Kenny Allshouse has been recognized as a Future Leader in Supply Chain by the Journal of Healthcare Contracting (JHC). As senior director for HealthTrust Supply Chain in Dallas, Texas, Allshouse leads the strategic development and execution of national agreements across four divisions for HCA Healthcare. Spanning a range of products and service lines, he works closely with clinical and operational leaders to negotiate supplier contracts that maximize value and support patient care.

“During the pandemic, Kenny’s leadership extended beyond Texas to the national level as he responded to an ever-changing environment to secure critical supplies for providers and patients,” said Fred Keller, vice president of strategic sourcing for HealthTrust. “His steadfast commitment to solve problems and forge solutions never wavered. Kenny is an impactful leader; very thoughtful in his approach, and extremely organized. He is very deserving of this recognition and has a superbly bright future.”

“The pandemic highlighted the importance of adaptability and we found ourselves having to navigate challenges outside of our traditional job scope,” commented Allshouse. “Everyone had to learn new skills and build new relationships, both internally and with supplier-partners. The team’s willingness to adapt to any challenge with a whatever-it-takes attitude was remarkable and a source of extreme pride.”

Allshouse joins HealthTrust’s Haley Addis, PharmD, vice president, clinical resource and account management, who was recognized among the Women Leaders in Supply Chain by JHC in December. Asked by the magazine what advice she would give to other women pursuing careers in supply chain, Addis replied, “I understand how the work we do impacts patients and those caring for them. If you keep the patient front and center and stay focused on always doing what is right for the patient, you will find the motivation to overcome any conflict or obstacle.”
