Independent Lab Measures 8.74 mg/L Dissolved Hydrogen in Ocemida Nexis
Result from H2 Analytics is the highest concentration Ocemida has recorded across its product line, and is published in full alongside the lab's methodology

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - July 27, 2026 - Ocemida, a Canadian hydrogen water bottle manufacturer, today published the results of independent laboratory testing on its flagship Nexis bottle. Using gas chromatography, H2 Analytics measured a dissolved molecular hydrogen concentration of 8.74 mg/L. The finding is documented in report H2AR-260616-1, which Ocemida is making available in full on its website.

The measurement was performed by an outside laboratory on a production unit, with no involvement from Ocemida in the sampling or analysis. Gas chromatography is the reference method for quantifying dissolved gases and is considered more reliable than the colorimetric titration drops and ORP-based handheld meters commonly used to make hydrogen concentration claims in the consumer market.

"We publish the report number so anyone can ask the lab to confirm it," said Daniel, founder of Ocemida. "Most of the numbers in this category come from a bottle of blue drops and a phone camera. If a brand will not tell you which lab tested the unit, which method they used, and how the sample was drawn, the number does not mean anything. We would rather hand people the whole document and let them check our work."

About the measurement

Ocemida is publishing the following context alongside the figure, because concentration numbers in this category are frequently reported without it:

  • 8.74 mg/L is a supersaturated concentration. At room temperature and normal atmospheric pressure, water holds roughly 1.6 mg/L of hydrogen at equilibrium. Concentrations above that level are achieved inside a sealed, pressurized vessel and begin to dissipate once the container is opened.

  • The figure reflects the concentration at the point and time of sampling under the protocol described in report H2AR-260616-1. It is not a claim about concentration after the bottle has been opened, poured, or left standing.

  • Results vary with water source, temperature, and generation cycle length. The report documents the specific conditions used.

Ocemida makes no health or therapeutic claims regarding hydrogen water. Research into molecular hydrogen is ongoing and no such claims are approved by Health Canada or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The company's published testing addresses one question only: how much hydrogen the device actually puts into the water.

About third-party verification at Ocemida

The H2 Analytics result adds to a body of independent testing Ocemida maintains across its range, which includes microsensor measurement through H2Hubb, PFAS screening through Eurofins, and IHSA certification of the Omni model OCE-5000 PRO.
