She was expecting a baby boy named Tommy at the time of his death. Vanessa's baby boy died at birth. Six months later, she underwent invitro-fertilization and became pregnant with Tom's baby, Marty.
After overcoming her challenges, she began traveling the country to speak at various grief and loss events, inspiring those in the audience to make every day their "Best Day Ever" despite their difficulties. Vanessa shares her story to empower women all over the world.
