Slane, Ireland, 5th January 2023, ZEXPRWIRE, When done correctly, campervan life is incredible. It offers you unrivalled freedom and independence. You can pack up your van and take off to wherever you want. The ability to wake up in the mountains, lunch by the sea and then go to sleep by the beach means you have maximum freedom for your day to day.
It isn’t all roses however. Cabin fever can develop pretty quickly, especially if you do not get out and about that much. The best campervan holidays include a lot of outdoor activities and time spent enjoying your surroundings. You need to check the weather before you take off on your adventure for this reason. Everyone comes into campervanning with the idea of it being beautiful and serene. However, what happens when it starts to pour? This is why you need to have the correct clothes and for such events as well as the correct camper for the weather. A roof tent won’t be particularly comfy if there is wind and rain battering you all night.
These are only theoretical events though and camping can be enjoyable no matter the weather. A motorhome may be the choice for you if the weather really goes to the dogs. Being entirely enclosed and comfortable has massive benefits.
Can a campervan do it for you?
In our opinion, a campervan offers you an unrivalled experience. The fact you are able to pull over when you find a nice spot to camp, make your favourite cup of coffee and have a sit down is amazing. On top of this you can have a kitchen, bathroom, etc. so you can live off grid for a bit of time.
It isn’t for everyone though. If you are the kind of person who gets bored or suffers from anxiety when you are away for long it may not be for you. What if you always need the lap of luxury, or how do you feel about being close to your travel mates? These are all questions that need to be asked.
In saying all of this, it is something that everyone should consider doing at least once. You may just have discovered your new favourite form of adventure. Renting a camper is the perfect way to do this. You get to try an established set up with minimal commitment.
