ST. LOUIS - April 5, 2022 - PRLog -- Veterans Home Care (VHC) announces Bonnie Laiderman has been honored as a Remarkable Woman by St. Louis television stations FOX 2 and KPLR 11, and appeared live on FOX 2 on April 1, 2022. Laiderman was chosen as one four St. Louis finalists from over 180 nominations.

"Remarkable Women" is a nationwide initiative that is part of Nexstar's celebration of Women's History Month and International Women's Day.  It is designed to honor the influence that women have had on public policy, social progress, and the quality of life in the United States.

Nexstar spotlights local women who inspire, lead, and forge the way for other women. FOX 2 and KPLR 11 are St. Louis' Nexstar Media Inc. television stations. Laiderman and the other finalists were featured with TV interviews during the month of March.

"It is great honor to be recognized as a Remarkable Woman. I started a company to help veterans receive the home care they need to live with dignity throughout their golden years," Laiderman said. "It's hard to imagine we have grown from a small home office to have served over 20,000 veterans nationwide."

"I am grateful to Nexstar, FOX 2 and KPLR, to be honored during Women's History Month and I am especially grateful to all those who have given so much for our country, helping them and their spouses live better lives."

For over 19 years, Veterans Home Care's goal has been to help millions of veterans and their surviving spouses who qualify, apply for a non-service related disability pension from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) called aid and attendance, which pays for assistance with activities of daily living in their homes.

To date, more than 20,000 veterans and their surviving spouses have been able to access VA Benefits for the care they need. Innovation now provides VHC with the ability to serve every senior and disabled adult, regardless of military service, with their sister company SmartCompanion Care. SmartCompanion is the latest Alexa powered medical alert system, preprogrammed for seniors to reduce isolation and loneliness, replace push-button medical alert systems and enable voice-activated phone and video calling.
