Long-awaited Breakfast at Tiffany's Spin-off Penned by Emerging Screenwriter

A new classic in the making for modern romantics

NEW YORK, NY, September 17, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A highly anticipated speculative spin-off of the cherished romantic comedy Breakfast at Tiffany's has been written by emerging screenwriter Andrew Best.

The script, titled Tiffany Brunch, is a modern day return to the sterling cinematic universe of heartbreak, romance, society, and reinvention of self. Neither a prequel, a sequel, nor a remake, Tiffany Brunch is an original and lively love story with contemporary depth and a bleeding, dramatic edge. Full of glamour and grit - and of course an iconic soundtrack - Tiffany Brunch is certain to both inspire and delight a new generation of fashionable romantics.

It tells the story of dancer Marianna Morales, whose life is what many might call a vision of luxury and influence. However, when the painful reality of her circumstances becomes too much to bear, Marianna decides to go in search of a life she can truly wrap her arms around. In doing so, she discovers that love and pain are two sides of the same coin.

"This story is so important and timely. I can't tell you how important it is to me, and how much I know it will mean to others. Tiffany Brunch is truly a story for everyone," Best said, "but especially for those of us who know what it means to fight and endure great hardship for what we love."

Released by Paramount Pictures in October of 1961, the iconic Breakfast at Tiffany's will celebrate its 60th anniversary this fall. The time-honored film, originally adapted for the screen by George Axelrod, continues to allure and envelop audiences of all ages, and has inspired Mr. Best to carry the torch in a unique and modern way.

"It's sort of an unconventional script," Best said. "I wrote it with a lot of specific actors in mind and have also basically written in the entire soundtrack. I recognize that is typically done by other production units, but that's just the way I channeled it creatively. Ideally it would star Mila Kunis and James Franco. It also has strong supporting roles that were written with Cardi B, Lana del Rey, Ginger Minj, and Selena Gomez exclusively in mind. I'm hoping the right people will read the script and trust my vision," he added.

Mr. Best has obtained copyright to his script and is actively seeking representation to realize the film he says has the power to unite a diversity of audiences through the bonds of love, loss, perseverance, and light-heartedness.
