Hawaii awarded $1.2M to combat unemployment fraud, identity theft

The funds, which come from the United States Department of Labor, was one of several disbursements provided to the first 28 of the states and territories to apply for the aid, and will assist with administrative expenses incurred from implementing new identity verification requirements.
