Southwest Airlines says shutdown cost it as much as $15 million this month so far

Low-cost airline Southwest on Thursday said the partial government shutdown cost it as much as $15 million this month. The shutdown is preventing the Dallas-based airline from launching flights to Hawaii because federal inspectors who can approve the expansion have been furloughed.
