On February 23, 2007, Lam Research Corporation (the Company) issued a press release announcing
that its Board of Directors has authorized the repurchase of up to $750 million of
the Company’s common stock from the public market or in private purchases. A copy of the press
release issued by the Company on February 23, 2007 is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
