Subsequent to the press release referred to in Item 7, Georgia-Pacific Corporation has been contacted by officials of the state of Maine regarding the announced closure of the tissue machines and converting lines at its Old Town, Maine facility. The Company and state officials are discussing the status of this planned action. Therefore, the Company has made no determination of the effect that this announcement might have on its operating results in any given quarter. Attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 is a press release issued by Georgia-Pacific Corporation on April 4, 2003 which press release is hereby incorporated herein by this reference.
