SEOUL, Korea May 21, 2012 Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) (NYSE: KEP) has filed its audited consolidated financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2011 on its annual report on Form 20-F with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on April 30, 2012. KEPCO will provide its shareholders with a hard copy of such audited consolidated financial statements contained in Form 20-F free of charge upon request, which can be made by sending a request using the contact information provided below. KEPCO is an integrated electric utility company engaged in the transmission and distribution of electricity in Korea. Through its six wholly-owned generation subsidiaries, KEPCO generates substantially all of the electricity produced in Korea. Under relevant laws of Korea, the Korean government is required to own at least 51% of KEPCOs capital. As of December 31, 2011, the Korean government maintained a 51.1% ownership of KEPCOs outstanding common shares by direct and indirect holdings. KEPCO derives substantially all its revenues and profit from Korea, and substantially all of its assets are located in Korea.
