State below in reasonable detail the reasons why Form 10-K, 11-K,
20-F, 10-Q, N-SAR or the transition report portion thereof could not be filed
within the prescribed time period. (Attach extra sheets if needed.)
The quarterly report of Careside, Inc. (the "Company") on Form 10-Q
cannot be filed within the prescribed time period without unreasonable effort or
expense due to the Company's voluntary petition under chapter 11 of the
Bankruptcy Code in the Central District of California. Accordingly, additional
time was needed to ensure proper disclosure of the chapter 11 petition and the
Debtor-In-Possession financing plan, which is subject to court approval. The
Company anticipates that its quarterly report on Form 10-Q will be filed on or
before the fifth calendar day following its prescribed due date.
