Acme United Corporation (AMEX:ACU) announced today that it has named David Farnworth as Vice President of Marketing – Westcott Brand. Mr. Farnworth will be responsible for all aspects of the Westcott Brand including Strategy and Innovation.
Mr. Farnworth originally joined Acme United in July 2004 as Director of Marketing for School Products, he was then promoted to Senior Director of Marketing in July 2007. Prior to Acme United, David worked in the European headquarters for Duracell, managing the European and Asian markets for the specialty division. He then joined the Global Business Management Group for Duracell/Gillette, based in the USA. Originally from Europe, David is now a permanent resident of the USA.
Mike Peterson, Vice President Global of Marketing, said, “David has demonstrated exceptional skills in Product Innovation, Branding and Customer Focus during his 4 years with Acme United Corporation. In his most recent assignment as Senior Director of Marketing, David led the development of a global partnership with Microban® Corporation. In record time David created an entire range of school and office products with Microban protection that are being well received by current and new customers. Further building on the successful iPoint pencil sharpener line, David introduced the iPoint Razor which is achieving widespread distribution in both Europe and North America.
