Acme United Corporation (AMEX:ACU) today announced an exclusive agreement with Microban International, Ltd. for the use of its Microban antimicrobial technology in hardware, industrial, office and school tools. This agreement covers both the North American and European markets and will initially launch under the Westcott and Clauss brands.
Microban antimicrobial product protection is infused into the product during manufacturing, and inhibits the growth of bacteria for the lifetime of the product. It does not wash or wear away over time. This technology debuts for Acme United in Westcott and Clauss branded products in March 2008.
