Professional gamer eats, sleeps, games, repeats in luxury villa in whilst being filmed 24/7
ST JULIANS, Malta - June 21, 2023 - PRLog -- Whoever said gamers are introverts is getting schooled by the charismatic cast of House of Streams, which has been entertaining fans around the globe since its launch last week. Featuring professional streamers picked from the USA, United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan, Australia and The Netherlands, House of Streams comes to its thrilling climax this weekend.
The show is a world first, whereby eight of the world's most entertaining streamers are thrown together in a luxury villa in 'the Maltese Beverly Hills' and filmed 24/7. Gamers and non-gamers alike have been flocking to Twitch (live video streaming service) to watch the show around the clock, where they give their live feedback on the contestants and the entirely unscripted storylines. Even those who know nothing about gaming are already getting hooked on the villa antics. But the most exciting, eye-opening and hilarious story arcs emerging from the show - from gaming and IRL challenges to house drama and a will-they-won't-they romance - are being turned into an upcoming TV series.
The contestants are enigmatic American tech and gaming broadcaster and former TMZ staffer, Morgan Tremaine (who went viral after giving testimony in the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial); quick-witted TV presenter, YouTuber and former wrestler, Corey Smallwod aka TheBlackHokage (USA) - who has over 177,000 followers on Twitch; elfin horror game, MMO, RPG and VR streamer Fiona Angel, aka CyborgAngel (UK); high-energy FIFA fanatic and Irish Twitch partner, Chris, aka TheGaraShow (Ireland); mad-cap Japanese-American variety streamer,
Andy Jones, aka JapandyJones; queen of shooter games Taylor Morgan (Australia), Fortnite, League of Legends and Counter-Strike legend in her own right, Melissa, aka NuFo (USA) and highly competitive up-and-coming Dutch streamer OutPlayedByJade (Netherlands).
Highlights of the show so far include TheBlackHokage's impressive military-style workouts, TheGaraShow's hilarious bromance with an inflatable flamingo, JapandyJones' playboy antics, and Taylor Morgan's Aussie one-liners. It's fair to say the cast have obliterated any notion that gamers are lacking in effervescence.
The contestants are being filmed in Malta for a total of two weeks while they eat, sleep, game and repeat whilst competing for the ultimate Bitcoin prize. During the show, they also get to explore the beautiful European island via a series of challenges in historic towns which featured in Game of Thrones, as well as at the infamous upcoming Showers (https://showers-event.com) pool party at Cafe del Mar Malta. The winner of House of Streams' Bitcoin prize will be revealed this weekend.
House of Streams turns the traditional reality show format on its head, reimagining it as a completely unscripted, uncontrived, collaborative concept whereby the content creators are allowed to create their own content for their fans (old and new) and interact with them in parallel to the show, as well as receive live feedback from Twitch chat. And although they are competing against each other for the Bitcoin prize, there are no elimination rounds.
"We're putting the 'real' back into reality TV," says Ashley Kind, Maltese resident and media director at Streamhouse Media. "There are no contrived scenarios or lines that any of our contestants are forced to play out - everything you see on House of Streams is live, raw and real.
"Everyone has their chance in the limelight and we want them to leave the show as friends rather than create drama. However, with this cast, there's never a dull moment."
