Several local hospitals have been penalized by Medicare for infection rates

But there was good news for some local hospitals. Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona and Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, which had been penalized in 2019, were not on the list this year. It was the first time AGH had not been penalized since 2016, according to Kaiser Health News records.
