PVH Corp. Supports Global Fashion Agenda’s 2019 CEO Agenda

PVH Corp. [NYSE:PVH], one of the world’s largest apparel companies and owner of iconic brands, including CALVIN KLEIN, TOMMY HILFIGER, Van Heusen, Speedo, Warner’s and IZOD, announces its support of Global Fashion Agenda’s CEO Agenda 2019.

The CEO Agenda 2019, supporting a sustainable fashion industry, is being released today by Global Fashion Agenda at Davos House during the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Switzerland. PVH, one of nine strategic partners of Global Fashion Agenda, is proud to support the updated Agenda, which reflects global developments and focuses on climate change as a core priority. The CEO Agenda 2019 challenges the industry to accelerate sustainable practices and, echoing this goal, PVH is launching the next evolution of its Corporate Responsibility strategy – Forward Fashion which includes the company’s new vision for the future.

“We believe in holding ourselves accountable to the highest standards, setting ambitious Corporate Responsibility goals that drive fashion forward – for good. CEO Agenda 2019 encourages leaders across the industry to do the same. The issues our industry faces are complex and global, they require collaboration, and no single organization can solve these challenges alone,” said Emanuel Chirico, PVH Chairman and CEO.

He added, “Our evolved and elevated Forward Fashion strategy addresses our industry’s impact on people and the environment, supporting the elevated standards unveiled in Davos. Doing the right thing is both a responsibility and opportunity for the global fashion community.”

The 2nd annual CEO Agenda highlights eight sustainability priorities for fashion CEOs to keep at the top of the corporate agenda. These priorities provide guidance on how to create actionable change and include:

Four priorities for immediate implementation:

  • Supply chain traceability
  • Combatting climate change
  • Efficient use of water, energy and chemicals
  • Respectful and secure work environments

Four transformational priorities:

  • Sustainable material mix
  • Closed-loop fashion system
  • Promotion of better wage systems
  • Fourth industrial revolution

PVH signed the Global Fashion Agenda’s 2020 Circular Fashion System Commitment pledge in June 2018 and joined Global Fashion Agenda as a Strategic Partner in January 2019. PVH will continue to work with the organization to set a common agenda and direction for industry collaboration on the future of sustainable fashion.
