“I am excited to welcome Rhonda as a strong addition to our leadership team,” said Simon Biddiscombe, CEO, MobileIron. “As we continue to build on our leadership positions in critical markets, I am confident that Rhonda’s breadth of experience driving pipeline, leading high-performance teams, and disrupting categories will prove invaluable to our growth.”

“With the continued explosion of cloud adoption, a mobile-first work environment, and the importance of data security, MobileIron is uniquely positioned to grow its footprint and relevance as it enables and secures the modern enterprise,” said Rhonda Shantz, CMO, MobileIron. “With such a strong foundation of MobileIron’s 17K+ customers, I’m excited to drive high-impact targeted programs that grow pipeline, sales, and brand relevance.”

Rhonda Shantz brings over 25 years of experience driving revenue growth at cybersecurity and enterprise businesses, creating strategy for category development and market disruption, and executing digital transformations.

Prior to MobileIron, Rhonda was CMO at Centrify, a global identity and access management cybersecurity company. In that role, she led a rapid transformation in marketing and sales to an account-based targeting strategy, increased the pipeline two-fold, shifted the go-to-market strategy including product packaging and pricing, and repositioned the company to become a leader in the zero-trust category.

Previously, in her leadership roles at Rocket Fuel and Symantec, Rhonda drove strategies around category development, reinventing brands, and driving pipeline. At Rocket Fuel, she launched a brand refresh around “Marketing in the Moment” to better differentiate the company in the crowded marketing technology category. She also introduced the Rocket Fuel 1000 account strategy to drive sales pipeline and reach CMO-level media buyers.

At Symantec, Rhonda reinvented the Norton brand around cybercrime, grew market share, and made an emotional imprint with customers. Her marketing expertise contributed to Norton being recognized by Forbes/Landor as a breakaway brand. During her time at Symantec, Rhonda was part of a cross-functional team that led the digital transformation of the company from retail sales to over 70% online.

Before joining Symantec, Rhonda was partner, GM, and technology practice lead at Porter Novelli, where she was instrumental in launching over 30 companies and product lines/categories. She has also held positions at Hewlett-Packard and Intel.

Rhonda is a frequent speaker at industry events, and she was recently recognized by Sirius Decisions for Marketing Program of the Year and by TOPO for Marketing Excellence in 2018. In 2017, Rhonda was recognized by Engagio as “One of the Top 50 Women in Revenue that you should know,” and “Women of Influence 2017” by San Jose Business Journal.
