Corporate executives are feeling good about the economy and trade policy, but are seeing inflation creep up

The first-quarter earnings season was one of the strongest for the U.S. economy in years, and while the stock market showed little enthusiasm for the sky-high growth rates in earnings and revenue, corporate executives were both optimistic about future prospects, and skeptical that potential headwinds would come to pass.
