In trading on Thursday, oil & gas exploration & production shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 2.6%. Leading the group were shares of Whiting Petroleum Corporation (WLL), up about 26.2% and shares of Chesapeake Energy Corporation (CHK) up about 21.1% on the day.
