The system can also store favorite paths and recent destination in the system's address book. This can be reviewed anytime and anywhere.

Latest traffic situation can also be loaded with the newest navigation technology. The system uses Traffic Message Channel (RDS- TMS), a system interface which can have an access on the real time traffic situations. The system also has the capacity to re-compute routes for alternatives ways allowing drivers to avoid traffic jams.

The Navigation System also has the function for a high-quality radio system. Citing Audi Navigation DVD as an example, the system have an electro-mechanically folding 6.5 inch TFT color display with a divided screen display for the map and the other for additional information in the direction.

In terms of media compatibility, the MMI music interface includes an add-on that allows the playback of MP3 attached devices. Commonly supported music interface includes USB memory sticks, portable hard drive, mobile phones, MP3 players and Apple iPods with an additional feature on portable cassette players. A combination of music interface with DVD Satellite Navigation means a combination of great music while on the road.

System maps for the following countries such as Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Greece, Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Vatican City and many other countries around the world are widely available.

Different map and system updates are also available. These updates are not only available for Audi navigation system but also for specific BMW models such as BMW X5 Navigation and many more.
