Announcement Regarding Installment Loans to Consumer Finance Industry

There was an announcement that Aiful Corporation, one of the largest Japanese consumer finance companies, is preparing to apply for the “Business Revitalization Procedures” and the Japanese Association of Turnaround Professionals provisionally accepted their preliminary application.

ORIX has no installment loans to Aiful Corporation. ORIX has been reducing its installment loans to the consumer finance companies, responding to the changes in the business environment. ORIX has 5 billion yen of installment loans to the industry at this time, which accounts for approximately 0.2% of the total installment loans outstanding.

Accordingly, risks associated with installment loans to the consumer finance industry do not have a material impact on ORIX’s earnings.
