EXPLANATORY NOTE
On January 6, 2009, TransAtlantic Petroleum Corp. (the “Company”) filed a Form 8-K to report that it had closed the acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Longe Energy Limited (“Longe”). This Form 8-K/A is being filed to provide the financial statements described under Item 9.01 below.
